The hazard of being in my industry, is that you get this itch to try EVERYTHING. When a new beauty line launches, or a cosmetic brand comes out with a new product that claims to be the biggest and best thing since retinol….if you’re an esthetician or makeup maven like myself, you have to get your hands on it, period. The upside to this manic impulse of ours is that I can give my clients, friends, and family a honest and professional recommendations through my own personal trial and error!

Speaking of itch….

When I moved to LA, I slowly noticed changes to my skin and hair that just was not cool. My skin was not only breaking out, but was also so tight and dry that i thought, “this must be what a face lift feels like…”lol! My hair started thinning, and I noticed a lot more fall out when I would brush my hair. My scalp also got really dry and itchy. I never in my life had dandruff or weird hair problems. I tried everything from hair tx (treatment) by Kérastase, to the very popular Frederic Fekkai’s Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner, and even Kiehl’s “Magic Elixir” hair oil. They all made my hair really shiny, silky and soft, which I was so happy about, but nothing fix my scalp issues :( . That is until I discovered THIS……

This luxury hair care line is AH-mazing! Like a serious AH-HA moment. The “pH Restorative Detangling Tonic Mist“, basically works like a water purifier (yes, i tried installing an actual water filter in my shower but it wouldn’t fit), by rebalancing the pH of your scalp, which I learned is the #1 culprit of most scalp and hair issues.

Directions for Use:
1) After shampoo and conditioning, spray directly at the roots.
2) Massage gently into scalp.
3) Blow dry or style your hair as usual.

When you first apply this hair tonic, the apple cider vinegar smell is very distinct, but i promise that goes away within a few minutes. I even asked my husband how my hair smelled and he didn’t notice anything. And let’s be honest even if he did, I would still use it, because after just one treatment i noticed a huge difference in the lack of irritation and itchiness i would normally wake up experiencing.
Phillip B. Botanical Products truly are some of the best hair treatments on the market, and can be found at Space NK online, and inside Bloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman department stores. Their philosophy on hair care is very similar to an estheticians skincare regimen. This line’s core products are essentially a facial for your hair and scalp. Everyone knows that makeup is great to hide imperfections, but having healthy beautiful skin is way better. So it’s no surprise that the same rules apply a little more north! Maybe that’s why I can appreciate the madness of Phillip B’s $150US shampoo…? Luckily, the pH Restorative Detangling Tonic Mist only cost me $24US ;)
